A variation of classic sociocracy was created by Rakesh "Rootsman Rak", which essentially helps projects to break up the decision making process into manageable chunks, where only people who need to be involved go to. The main objective is to ensure the policy meeting runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The policy meeting is a precious time when we are privileged to have all members of a project present. So we should avoid this becoming a tiresome process. Instead it should be fast, efficient and fun. Therefore all clarifications and questions are answered before a policy meeting takes place. The processes and meetings that help to make this process work are sometimes lovingly referred to as rakocracy by some of his students.
